Our Leadership and Staff

10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania is an alliance of organizations and individuals committed to enhancing the quality of life for all Pennsylvanians by promoting policies and actions that will revitalize and sustain the social and economic well-being of Pennsylvania’s diverse urban, suburban, and rural communities, foster responsible land use, and conserve natural, heritage, and fiscal resources.

10,000 Friends is organized in Pennsylvania under a dual incorporation so that we can do two important jobs:  first, educate and encourage positive action by leaders and citizens throughout the Commonwealth, and second, represent our Friends and Friends of Pennsylvania organizations at the state and local levels by seeking positive changes in legislation and policy.

10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania, a 501(c)(3) organization, focuses on constructive citizen involvement in community planning, decision-making, and leadership through education and action on growth and development policies consistent with our purposes. Contributions to 10,000 Friends are tax-deductible.

10,000 Friends/Advocates for Pennsylvania, a 501(c)(4) organization, focuses on advocacy at the state, county, and local levels for specific legislation and policies consistent with our purposes. Contributions to 10,000 Friends/Advocates are not tax-deductible.
