Pittsburgh Community Information System is a web based property information system that connects data related to neighborhoods and individual properties.   The system is designed to enhance community and economic development decision making in the City of Pittsburgh.

The information intervention tool integrates geographic information with public administrative data from local governments along with selected street level real estate parcel surveys to provide a dynamic view of neighborhood market activity.  This first generation system is designed to encourage neighborhood investment by improving the access to property and neighborhood data.  Information generated by the Community Information System encourages neighborhood residents, community organizations, and policymakers to mobilize support for community enhancements in the Pittsburgh area.

10,000 Friends of Pennsylvania serves as project manager for this pilot initiative. The information tool allows users to analyze and improve land use decision making based upon multiple public information sets.
