Proposed state budget cuts could create ‘nightmare on Elm Street’ in Newberry, Williamsport Sun-Gazette

"The city's Newberry Elm Street Program is only 10 months old but already in danger of extinction.

The budget debate in Harrisburg as the state deals with a projected $3.2 billion deficit threatens to slash funding for the Pennsylvania Downtown Initiative program, including all Main and Elm Street programs.
